Volunteer(s) needed!

We would like to start a monthly newsletter for St. Boniface Parish; a missive that would keep parishioners up to date on what’s going on in the parish; who’s had a baby, a birthday, a wedding, or any other momentous occasion.  A newsletter that would help our homebound feel a part of the parish as they can also share in the events and activities of the parish as they read about them and see pictures from our various events.  If you like to write and if you would like to share your time and talents with the parish, call Marcia at 742-5063 or email at bonioffice@comcast.net.  Thanks!

Feast of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary    If you have not consecrated your life to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, through the hands of Our Blessed Mother, please prayerfully consider doing so.  The Feast of the Presentation is on Friday, November 21st.  The opportunity to consecrate your life to her will be available after the 6:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. Masses.  For more information about consecration, please contact the Rectory at 742-5063.

Thoughts by Saint Josemaria Escriva

Don’t let your life be sterile. Be useful. Blaze a trail. Shine forth with the light of your faith and of your love. With your apostolic life, wipe out the slimy and filthy marks left by the impure sowers of hatred. And, light up all ways of the earth with the fire of Christ that you carry in your heart.

Jubilee Christmas is December 13th!

We will need 17 host families this year. Please call Jackie Jones if you are interested 491-1063.

It’s getting close to time to wrap up gifts!

It is getting close to that time of year when we sometimes get ourselves into a frenzy wrapping gifts, making cookies, visiting family and friends, bringing chocolate stuffels and truffles to grateful priests.  But that’s not what this message is about (sorry Fr. Tim!).

It is also getting close to time to wrap up the gifts we are giving to Fruitful Harvest and complete the campaign.  For Fruitful Harvest, each family is asked to do two or more of the following:  1) pray for the success of the campaign, 2) visit the Fruitful Harvest table and review the pledge card information for correctness, 3) make a financial pledge.

If you have not completed your card yet, please stop by the table today to do so…it only takes a few minutes to give your gift of time.  If you are able to give financially, whether small or large…that is your gift of treasure.   If you have been volunteering, that is a gift of talent.  No matter what the gift, it is all known by God, and our gift, whatever it is, is what He asks of His One Body.

Thank you to all those who have completed pledge cards and given of your time, talent and treasure. If you have not had the opportunity to do so yet, please call the office and let Nan know your name and phone number and a Fruitful Harvest volunteer will return your call.   We expect to call everyone for whom we have a pledge card, but if you haven’t received a call by Thanksgiving, please don’t hesitate to let us know.  We may not have your correct phone number.  We look forward to talking with each of you!

NEXT LIFE! COMMITTEE MEETING The LIFE! Committee will meet on Wednesday, November 20th at 7:00 p.m. in the Saint Philomena Center.  Please join us as we work together for the cause and protection of the innocent lives of unborn babies.  ALL are welcome to attend.
