 Showers of Flowers

—Church Families Celebrating Life and Motherhood with a Bouquet of Sharing

In honor of Mother’s Day, St. Boniface is partnering with Matrix Lifeline Pregnancy Center to raise the cost of providing necessities for one (or more!) new moms and babies. Our goal is to create a bouquet of sharing to encourage and support life.  Here’s how you can help. Choose an envelope from the display. Enclose the cost of your selection and leave the envelope in the basket. Add your flower to the display. The Showers of Flowers display will be in the church through Mother’s Day, May 11. Thank you for Caring and Sharing! Matrix Lifeline Pregnancy Center, a Christ-centered ministry, offers life-affirming alternatives to women and men considering abortion with education and support before, during, and after pregnancy.

SERRA Club

What kinds of people become priests, sisters or brothers? Are they people who can’t face the competition and cruelty of the “real” world? No. They are people who believe that through ministry they can immerse themselves in the world and make positive changes. They have the courage to touch lives, hearts and souls in a high-tech, unchurched world. Are you that kind of person?

 On Mothers Day

 M is for the million things she gives me,

O means only that she's growing old,

T is for the tears she sheds to save me,

H is for her heart of purest gold;

E is for her eyes with love light shining;

R means right, and right she'll always be,

   Put them all together, they spell MOTHER

   The one who means the world to me.

(adapted from a poem by Howard Johnson, 1915)

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers in the parish!  Thank you for everything you to do support

St. Boniface and St. Anthony's Bread!
