We know we have a great parish here at St. Boniface, but how do our visitors feel when they step through our doors? What is their first impression?
To make people feel welcome and in order to help our visitors, we would like to start a greeters ministry here at St. Boniface. Part of the purpose of a church greeter is to help prepare the way for a person to encounter God in the Mass.
- A friendly smile might change a negative attitude.
- An expression of compassionate care might calm the nerves of stressed parents.
- A gentle welcome and genuine conversation may help people feel a sense of connection.
While the simple action alone may not change the world, attentive greeters may help prepare the way for our visitors (and parishioners) to hear more from the Lord. Do you have what it takes to be a greeter? Do you enjoy meeting and greeting people? If so, consider becoming a greeter for St. Boniface Parish. Please contact the parish office at 742-5063 or email email@example.com.
